About Dan

A strategist who stays close to the work.

I’m Dan Akeju. I build organic acquisition systems for B2B, SaaS, fintech, technology companies and YC-backed startups—across traditional search and AI discovery.

My work sits where market strategy, technical SEO, content architecture, product understanding and measurement meet. I care less about whether a deliverable was completed than whether the system created qualified demand and moved the business.

How I think about the work

SEO is not a publishing department. It is market infrastructure.

Search exposes the language people use to understand a market, compare options and reduce uncertainty. That makes SEO useful far beyond rankings: it can shape positioning, information architecture, product education and the paths buyers take before conversion.

I approach the work as a system. Technical quality makes information accessible. Content architecture gives demand somewhere coherent to land. Authority makes the company believable. Measurement reveals whether any of it is creating users, sign-ups, demos or revenue.

When those layers are disconnected, the company gets activity. When they reinforce one another, organic becomes an acquisition asset.

Operating principles

The standards I bring into every engagement.

01

Commercial truth

Rankings and traffic are leading indicators. Qualified behaviour and business value determine whether the work mattered.

02

Intellectual honesty

If the opportunity is weak, the assumption is wrong or the result cannot be supported by the evidence, I will say it directly.

03

Close ownership

I stay close to the people shipping the work so strategy survives contact with content, design, engineering and the product.

04

Compounding systems

The goal is not a temporary spike. It is an operating system that creates more useful surface area and stronger market ownership over time.

Authority through useful work

Research people choose to reference.

I publish practical analysis on search systems, patents, algorithm changes and AI discovery. The goal is not commentary for its own sake—it is to understand how discovery actually works and make that understanding useful.

Close enough to understand the product. Hands-on enough to make sure it ships.
